The workout on Thursday was quite unique. It was one of the only WODs I can remember where we did anything with one arm! Let me explain...
2 rounds of:
12 right arm push press
12 left arm dead lift
run 800 meters
12 left arm push press
12 right arm dead lift
run 800 meters
As you can imagine, this workout made me cringe. With a whopping 2 miles of running, and my ipod at home, this workout was just destined to SUCK from the very beginning. Surprisingly, we all found the inspiration somewhere deep inside and finished this BEAST of a workout. Brian was so fast, I wasn't even really sure he ran the full 800 meters. I kept searching for his magic rabbit hole that he kept sneaking in to between our bay door, and the shrubbery that marks the turn-around point for the runs, but I didn't find it.
We had a visitor last night! Mr. Will James traveled up from the city to join us in our WOD. For those of you who don't know Will, he worked out with us a million years ago. His job transferred him to an office down in the city, and he transferred down to Windy City CrossFit. (sniff....sniff.....) He has been dearly missed, so it was a real treat to get to see him again.

I did this last week. The WOD blew, and yes the left arm was definitely not keeping up, but the real thing was how sore I was the next couple of days. This hit some muscles that I must not have been using in other workouts. 28:43 with a 65lb PP and 95lb DL.
