The strength work might as well be called "get awesome-er at snatch day". If you're not familiar with snatch balances you can watch this video of my girl, Sage. Sage is a badass Oly lifter with magic super powers and an addiction to tall socks. Whatever Sage is doing, it's usually A+, gold standard. This video is no exception.
If you're one of those people who struggles with overhead squats and tight shoulders, these are not going to be your friends. You are probably going to hate their FACE. Just make sure you keep the weight light and manageable and please FOR THE LOVE OF SIRI CRUISE come in early and work shoulder mobility!
This Saturday at 10AM we are having a CrossFit Striking class! This is a fun spin on a regular CrossFit WOD. CF Striking takes a CF WOD and adds in some striking moves like punches and kicks and stuff. No, you won't be punching EACH OTHER (unless you want to), you'll be punching our heavy bags, or doing fast jabbing motions in the air. Melissa Erliech is a CF Striking certified coach, and she has offered to do an intro at the Fort to see if this could become a regular class going forward.
