Just lay down for a minute, it’ll feel better

Do you guys smell that? Hmm? It smells like......running weather! Ok, maybe not yet, but it's getting real close! Who would have thought there'd be  a day when I was excited for running weather?! I think what I'm most excited about is opening the bay door and letting in the sunshine and fresh air.

The strength work yesterday was thrusters 10-10-10. The idea is that you should choose a weight that was challenging, but do-able. I realize this isn't always an easy task. You'll just have to go with your instincts. Bill doesn't always have a percentage in mind for these sets. My recommendation is always to start with a weight you know you can do for 10 reps, and work your way up from there. Seems pretty common sense, but I had to answer that question a LOT yesterday.

The metcon was done as a reverse ladder:

Pull-ups

As the number of handstand push-ups were decreasing, your number of pull-ups was increasing. It was kind of confusing, but I'm pretty sure everyone got a good workout.

The funniest moment of the day came when Matty Lo simply ran out of handstand push-ups. He kicked up against the wall and just crumbled. He then laid there for a few extra seconds laughing. He's always such a good sport!

I'd like to give a big warm welcome to Earl! He tested out of our ramp-up program yesterday morning, and will be joining the ranks of our Guns 'n' Hoses crew. This will also serve as your formal notice that Earl is going to be a BEAST. :-)

    Running makes you a better person. Besides, you're killing it in the Better Body Challenge and it should be interesting competition between you and your sis heading into the summer.
