15 Overhead squats
Over the last 6 years that I have been doing CrossFit, I have never once met anyone who said Nancy was their favorite workout. Not once. And it could be that it's just because there are so many other cool workouts to choose from - or it could be that this is a super challenging WOD.
The challenges associated with this WOD can be broken into two parts - the shoulder mobility it takes to overhead squat, and the aerobic lung burn you're going to feel from running 400 meters. So....basically the running and overhead squats . Depending on your flexibility, your overhead squat might look something like Jeanne's, or yours might look a little more vertical. If you have the flexibility, I always recommend that people try squatting with a slightly narrower grip on the barbell than they would normally use for overhead squats. It saves your wrists BIG TIME! And as for the lung burn, just make sure you're pacing appropriately. 5 rounds is a LONG workout. No need to PR your 400m run time in the first round!
