Just 2 days ago Super Dave asked me to forward him his 60-day progress pictures. I nonchalantly forwarded the pictures. Just for grins I took a look at his pictures side by side, and I was STUNNED. Super Dave has come a long way in 60 days! I don't know how many pounds he's lost, or what % his body fat decreased by. Frankly, I don't give a damn. All I know is that Dave is feeling better, and LOOKING better than ever. With Dave's permission I am sharing both the email he sent to me, as well as his before & after pictures. It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there for others to see! Thanks, Dave, for allowing me to share...
As you know, I was doing Crossfit workouts at our other gym with Garth and Tom for 8 months before the stars aligned and Tom found Crossfit Fire for us. The instruction and competitiveness that we receive in our workouts is second to none, which elevated our workouts to a level we’d never experienced before.
Then came the diet advice, which is what REALLY made the difference. It started with the “two week experiment of Jennie”. When I saw how you looked, I wanted to do EXACTLY what you were doing with your diet. Within a week of that, Bill setup the nutrition seminar. He didn’t just say “this is WHAT you should eat”, but rather explained in detail WHY we should eat the way he was describing. After 60 days of following Bill’s nutrition advice, I lost a lot of my bodyfat, felt great, and am now setting PRs and besting my times during the Metcon workouts (not to mention beating my fellow Crossfitters who I never used to beat before). AND I’ve gained an increased confidence that I can tackle anything life throws at me.
What you and Bill have done for me these last few months in nothing short of amazing – my life has changed for the better because of you!
-Dave
This email from Dave is precisely the reason why Bill, Zach and I coach CrossFit. This is the reason why we get up early, stay up late, and bust our asses coaching. It's a little known fact, but all of us coach for free. We have never paid ourselves one dime for all the time we put in at the Fort, and THIS is the reason why. Coaching isn't about getting rich. It's about making other people's LIVES rich. Rich with health, rich with friends, rich with PURPOSE.

Keep up the good work Dave. You are a great example of self discipline and determination. I have to second your comment about setting PR's and competing you are a fierce competitor maybe not as vocal as some of the other GYG members but always presence.

100% agree with Pete.
I don't know a single individual more disciplined with Dieting then Dave. And, I'd even debate that he's one of the most excitable personalities when you mention the word "Fitness" - E-V-E-R!
Quietly competitive, extremely determined, yet gracefully coachable he's a walking example of "if it is to be, it is up to me."
Great work, Super Dave! I'm very proud of ya brother.

Thanks guys! After playing Rugby in college, I thought I'd never be a part of a group of people that shared such great camaraderie. CFF has put that old Rugby team of mine to shame!
As I told Garth yesterday morning at 6:30am: "This is the saddest part of my day, Garth. The end of our workout, and knowing that we can't come back here for another 23 hours".

Absolutely awesome work, Dave. Tom and Pete have hit the nail on the head and you are truly an inspiration. Not only to me, GYGers, and other CrossFORTers but any of the thousands of CrossFitters around the world that will read this post. You work so hard and I know that despite your very "excitable personality" and eagerness to get to the Fort, that this has been a challenge for you. Well done. Your motivation is honorable and your dedication cannot be swayed.
